British International School Shanghai

The British International School Shanghai is an international school in Shanghai, China. There are three campuses, the original Pudong Campus, the Puxi Campus, opened in 2005, and the Nanxiang Campus, opened in 2007. The school now educates over 1,800 pupils.

Academics are based on the National Curriculum of England and the General Certificate of Secondary Education. The school's Pudong and Puxi campuses both now offer the IB Diploma Programme at post 16 and the Nanxiang Campus utilises the A-Level system.

The school was founded in 2002 by Nord Anglia Education of England. Nord Anglia also operates international schools in Bratislava, Budapest, Prague, Ningbo, Seoul and Warsaw. The company teaches over 4,000 pupils worldwide.

Nord Anglia also works in partnership with government departments (including OFSTED and the Quality Improvement Agency in the UK), Local Education Authorities, schools and other public sector organisations to deliver a wide range of education, training and learning support contracts both in the UK and overseas.
